Dangerous Politicians (a view to Australian local politics):

Read Latham's response

Read Howard's response

Dangerous خطرناك

Mark Latham the leader of opposition and the leader of Labor Party said in March immediately after the Madrid bombing and the victory of the Spain's opposition in election, that he will pull out the Australian troops from Iraq. Latham said if Labor wins the office in up-coming election this year (around November 2004), he will call the troops home by Christmas. This was announced immediately after the election in Spain in March 2004.

This announcement by Latham shows how desperate the opposition leader is that he is risking the same faith to Australians as the same that happened to hundreds of Spaniards. The bombing in Spain changed the course of history in that country, it allowed the unpopular politicians gain office at the heat of the terrorism in Spain. The opposition in Spain was elected after it promised that it will recall the troops from office in first week of office. Latham learnt from this and he made the same pledge two days later.

Like a wounded snake Latham is desperate and dangerous, to win the office he is willing to sacrifice Australian lives. Latham is gambling on the troops, in general Australians are in favor of bringing troops back. Australian troops should not have been there in the first place, although Saddam was an insult to humanity, but it did not constitute Australia to follow Americans to take part in war and attack Iraq. Australia did not have any interest in Iraq whatsoever to engage in such war. Australia should have pushed through United Nation for the removal of Iraqi dictator rather than getting itself in affairs of another country half of the world away.

Australia has always chosen to follow British and Americans when it is called to. Australia was a British colony until 1901 when it became independent. Australia must keep in its own affair and sort out problems in South Pacific, Australian politicians are not fully understanding the complicated Middle East politics.

John Howard

Dishonest ناصادق

In November 2001 John Howard the leader of Liberal Party was elected for the third term just two months after the September 11 when he banked on "security" and "border" issues when "Tampa" the Norwegian ship carrying asylum seekers was a hot topic in the news. Howard lied to the public about the asylum seekers through their children overboard. Howard used the public's concerns about the security especially after the 9/11 to gain office, he was not the only one that lied. Now Latham in opposition is using the same tactic to win the office.

After 15 months of the war in Iraq pulling out will be a disaster, one step backward from the coalition would be one step forward to the terrorists. Latham chooses to ignore this fact, although he has soften his tune since and has expressed his views through Kim Beazley the new shadow minister for the defence that some troops will stay for the security of the diplomats; but it still is not good enough.

Latham has started a very dangerous game that would result a dirty outcome, Australian politicians have shown how low they can go when it comes to running for the office. They will ignore the public, public's safety, and the country just to get elected. It is on the record that Howard lied about selling Australian Telecommunication company (Telstra), Goods and Services Tax (GST), refugees, and many others. Latham has shown he will risk anything; both men are not eligible for the office.

In our view Liberals are set to comeback into office for the forth time, this comeback will not based on popularity; shamefully it will be based on tricks and dirty games by Liberals and a large part on Labor's lack of leadership and shortsighted views on international politics. Not Labor, not any other political party in a democratic system can ever win an election without a proper policy.

We call all Iranians in Australia eligible for voting, not to vote for either parties, Labor or Liberals. So far we have not seen any honest political parties, although we do accept the conditions in politics and it would be possible for politicians to represent the truth in different ways, but we do no accept the lies and the dirty games that politicians play with public lives.

We do accept that Howard government is a liar and it would lie again to gain victory in election, but we do not accept the Latham's provocations and dirty game. This game would result innocent lives. It is very much possible the terrorists to change the public's opinion try to influence their votes by terrorising them. It is very much possible - the same way that happened in Spain, a terrorism event change the way that Australians vote in country. We don't want it happen. To stop terrorism, we have to stop changes to the political environment.

We invite all Australians not to vote for Liberals or Labor parties in the up-coming election - possibly in November this year. Not that we encourage them to vote for the other parties such as the Greens or Democrats; they are no better than the others. We invite you not to vote, or waste your vote. Although it is the best to engage in political politic, but since we have not seen a descent and honest politician so far, we would rather waste our vote than give it to some crazy or dishonest guy!
